LAUNE x Arielle Sotiropoulos
Meet Arielle Sotiropoulos, a New York–based client relationship executive whose career sits at the intersection of strategy, trust, and long-term thinking. On TikTok, she shares practical career advice and day-to-day insights — very much the NYC corporate big sister. Her path hasn’t been linear, but it’s been shaped by learning the fundamentals early and taking on more responsibility over time. At a time when many early careers prioritize speed over depth, Arielle has taken a more measured approach. Below, she shares career advice, how New York has shaped her professional trajectory, and some fav spots around town.
1. Tell me about yourself and your background. How has your career path unfolded so far?
I’m a client relationship executive at a professional services firm, focused on private equity and growth companies. My role sits at the intersection of relationships and strategy, helping clients think through audit, tax, and advisory needs as their businesses evolve. I didn’t take a linear path, but I’ve always been intentional about learning the fundamentals, building credibility early, and then moving closer to decision makers as I earned trust. Over time, that’s turned into a career centered on trust, judgement, and long term relationships.
2. What is your LAUNE (mood)?
I care deeply about integrity, but I’m also very driven. I want to do things the right way and do meaningful things.
3. What’s the best piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting out in their career?
First, confidence shapes outcomes more than people realize. Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re usually right. Second, learn when to listen and when to decide. Input is helpful, but asking everyone often leads you away from your own judgement. The best decisions usually come from clarity, not consensus.
4. What inspires or motivates you?
Smart, driven people who care deeply about what they’re building. I’m motivated by momentum, learning curves, and the feeling that I’m getting sharper year over year, not just busier.
5. How has being in New York City influenced your work and opportunities?
New York sets a high bar. You’re surrounded by ambitious people doing interesting things, which pushes you to move faster, think bigger, and sharpen your point of view. The access and energy here have absolutely accelerated my career.
6. How do you balance personal life and career in a city that never slows down?
I’m not sure if a perfect balance really exists in New York. What works for me is having strong internal rules rather than rigid external ones. I’m selective about commitments, protective of my time, and intentional about the people and routines that keep me grounded. When work needs more of me, I lean in. When it doesn’t, I pull back without guilt.
7. What’s next for you?
Continuing to deepen my work in private equity while building a broader personal brand around career, style, and ambition. Long term, I’m focused on impact, leadership, and creating opportunities that feel aligned rather than forced.
