1. Tell me about yourself.
I’m Emily Matthews, a 28-year-old New York–based creator, marketing professional, and soon-to-be bride. I’m NYC-born and Connecticut-raised, and after graduating from SMU in Dallas, I made my way back to New York to work in PR and advertising. I’ve always been a visual person who loves to create, hence where I found myself professionally, but craved a personal creative outlet. I started creating content on TikTok as that outlet, sharing pieces of my life across beauty, fashion, home décor, and travel — anything I find beautiful!
2. What is your LAUNE (mood)?
Casual chaotic good. Sleepy Type A girls get it.
3. What inspires you?
People who know exactly who they are and go after what they want. If they can do it, why can’t I?
4. What are three staple items that every closet should have and why?
A really good white tee.
A fabulous pair of stilettos (as a 5-foot-tall girl, I’m biased).
And a perfectly tailored pair of jeans.
5. What drives your creative process?
I create based on inspiration. Whether it’s a new outfit I’m excited to share, a view that’s too good not to capture, or the way my favorite piece of home decor catches the light - I press record accordingly!
6. What do you love about New York?
The energy and endless opportunities. People love to say all there is to do in NYC is eat and drink, which are in fact beloved activities of mine, but there’s truly never a shortage of things to do. Plays, concerts, parks, shopping, spas… you can’t be bored here.
7. What are you looking forward to in 2026?
Not to be that “2026 Bride” - but I’m getting married this fall, and I can’t wait!
8. What’s next for you?
Honestly, a question I ask myself every day. I’m trying to go with the flow — enjoying wedding planning, creating content when I can, and seeing what unfolds naturally.

Sleeping in.

San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito. I wish I could live there.

9. Dream collab?
A luxury jewelry brand like Cartier or Tiffany… a girl can dream!
10. Favorite brand?
It’s always changing. Right now, I’m hyperfixating on Aquazurra and René Caovilla shoes.
11. Favorite style icon?
I’m a little basic, but as a fellow shoe addict, I have to go with OG Carrie Bradshaw. (The original, not the And Just Like That Carrie, of course…)
12. Favorite artist?
The 1975.
13. Favorite movie?
The Holiday.
14. What are you loving right now?
The Traitors and red light therapy. (The perfect night in consists of both)
